E-mail question

I am not sure who adk for help with this. Every time I log in to Bass Resource.com they always send me an e-mail saying I have logged in on something they have never seen before. First they said I was in Ky. which is right then I was somewhere in Pa. which is wrong. To the best of my knowledge I have secured my account and done every thing I am supposed to do. If I missed anything I apologize as I only have a vague misunderstanding of how to operate a computer. What do I need to do to stop getting these e-mails? Thank you for any help you can give me.

Try enabling automatic login (remember me) and see if that solves the problem.

Thanks!

Glenn

We "remember you" Glenn. You're the guy that runs this forum. :lol-045:

The remember me box has been checked but it does not hold my log in information. I am using google chrome in incognito mode. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

Thanks for the info Glenn. It has partially solved the problem. I logged in on google chrome and got my log in info to hold. I went back to incognito mode and it held my info. I am still getting the e-mails I mentioned before. Do I need to try something else?

Are you using satellite internet? I have to use Hughes net due to living in the sticks. Sometimes it thinks I'm in Oklahoma, sometimes Texas, Kansas, Utah, etc. The only time I have issues is playing online fantasy sports though.

I get the same email whenever I log out and log back in. The location thing is more likely your service provider. It used to think I was in Chicago, now it thinks I’m in southern Indiana. At least I know “they” will have a hard time finding me if they are tracking my phone :D

I get the email as well. Happens every time I log in on another device, from my PC (tablet, phone).

Its a small annoyance that I put up with to get my forum fix.

That's a security feature.  See a device that isn't yours, change your password. ;)

I am using a DSL service so everything is wired. I always log in on the same computer. Right now they think I am in Pa.

It's Incognito Mode that is doing it, happens everytime I log on at work.
