Lamiglass SR705R Question

Featured Replies

I've been considering adding a Dobyns Champion 705CB to the lineup then came across a Lamiglass SR705R on c-list for a price that I figured I couldn't lose whether or not I liked it. Does anybody here have experience with both the Lamiglass and Dobyns that could tell me how similar they are (or dissimilar)? I fish from the bank so it will need to fill multiple roles, I'm thinking most treble hook lures. A little time with a magic erasre and the cork cleaned up nice. I've never used a glass rod and am hoping it works out.

I use a Lamiglas XCF705R, perfect deep crankbait rod and it's the same as Skeet Reese SR705R except dark grey in lieu of yellow. I like Dobyns crank bait rods, however they don't have a fore grip and that is essential for me.

This is the yellow Skeet Reese model. It has a cool vibe to it.

Lamiglas SR705R is THE BOMB!

If you like the way a true fiberglass blank fishes, then I believe you will love that stick.

If you've never fished a 100% glass rod, you may be surprised.

My advice if that's the case is to understand & remember, that EVERYTHING happen slower.

Especially the cast & the hookset.
