I know time on the water is the most important thing. I am wondering if there are any people that teach bass fishing ( maps, electronic's ect...)

Bassmaster University, and there are a few electronics experts who give seminars.

Recently there have been some webinars on Bass Pro's website concerning electronics. Lowrance pro, Mike Delvisco was one of the instructors.

I'd recommend Jason Halfen, but he's a WI/upper midwest guy.

I don't think Jason knows what a bass is.   I will second the recommendation, especially if you are a Humminbird guy. 

MJMJ - not to toss useless info, but there are a TON and I mean a TON of videos out there on youtube about all things fishing.  Sure, it won't beat the hands on tutorial you can get from a person, but, the info abounds on all subjects.  Boat maintenance, electronics, gear - it's all out there.  The good thing is that much of the info on YT nowdays is actually pretty decent.  There are a lot of options for serious detail and discussion if you take a gander.

l would like to thank everyone for the information. I would like to consider myself an above average fishermen and would like to take my fishing to the next level  (so to speak). I have watched hundreds of YouTube videos and belong to BU. I would like to get so hands on training to help make me a better fishermen 

I just looked up Jason's info. I ordered his DVD.  Great advice. I am still interested in some hands on training, someone who would explain maps in better detail and take me out on the water and teach me there also.

Exactly until you have on the water first hand experience you can watch all the videos you want and it doesn't take the place of hands on

I've fished with him several times...he knows what bass are, 'specially smallies.

 

He's even been known to catch pike and musky on purpose...maybe not while the cameras are rolling...

The few times I've been out with a guide have been very helpful...just make sure you look for one that is more intersted in teaching than putting fish in the boat, and that you are specific that you are more interested in learning than catching.  Mr. Uhrig's off looks pretty good, all the better if it is one-on-one, or a very small "class".

I don't necessarily think time on the water is the best teacher.  You can spend all day on the lake tossing lures and reeling them back in, and still have no idea what you are doing or why you aren't catching fish.

 

I think seeking instruction is a fantastic investment of your time.  

 

I'm describing myself in the first paragraph btw.
