Pretty much the same for me but the Bug I like better as a jig trailer or bladed jig trailer than the rodent. 

I love both baits.  Water temperature drives what bait I start with.  Colder water, under sixty degrees gets the Rodent because of the subtle gliding action. Once the water warms up, the Rage Bug gets first duty. The bait is an active bait and the tails produce a vibration signature.  That's not to say either bait can't be effective in the other temperature  zone. When used as a jig trailer, the same applies.
