Quick Release Electric Motor Bow Mounts

Featured Replies

Looking for feedback on the minn kota quick release mounts if anyone uses them? Thinking it could make the install easier, ability to still use my Boat Cover etc.

any drawbacks?

I’ve been using one for many years. At first, it was for security reasons. Now, I have a second boat and use the same trolling motor on both boats so switching them is a breeze. I also have used the bracket on a couple of different motors and it did make installation of the new motor easy.

Not sure which one you are looking at, but I have used them in all my boats and I'd not set up a boat without one.

Looking at the MKA-23 with a fortrex 80lb now since the terrova in 24v is more than I’m looking to spend and think I want to keep it simple with cable steer for my first boat

I have two 14' V Hulls and I use two of the quick release brackets, one on each boat. I have a 55lb Powerdrive and am going to get an 80lb terrova. Works great when I am worried about theft or want to use a cover. I think its well worth the investment.

Mine is great, I don't trust nobody so I bought it for security reasons. It also comes in handy when I put on my boat cover. My TM is the MK Maxxum 80 so it's a little heavy,  so that might be the only drawback.
