I haven't been in my local tackle store for quite awhile and dropped by yesterday.  All Cousins rods half off. J.B. tells me they closed up. Being the shopper I am, I got a fantastic dealeo in an IM8 7-3 Heavy. After burning the residual of a gift card I paid $73.00 for a $215 rod.  A little Tatula. a little #50 Power Pro and walah,  frog rod.

Never heard of Cousins rods, so I googled Cousins tackle and got some stats on Minnesota's new quarterback...

Dang, sad to hear.  They're a West Coast (Huntington Beach) USA-made rod manufacturer that was primarily a saltwater rod company that just started to get into freshwater rods the last few years.  I always wanted to get a couple of their rods but they were higher priced and hard to find on sale.  If anyone has a link to an online clearance sale, PM me!

Darn! I was literally going to get both a 7'3" MH and 7'0" MH Im8

You got a heck of a deal !!!

their still selling at retail at my local tackle shops and at TW. Cousins website is sold out. I doubt whatever is left will be marked down here locally. Those are very nice rods.
