I’m looking to pick up some crawdad imitating crankbaits for smallmouth fishing in my rivers right now in the fall. 

 

These Live Targets look great, have you guys used them, or have any other recommendations?

I’ve used the KVD 1.0 in the DuPage with some success.  They have an orange and brown crawdad

The #1 river crayfish crankbait is a Bandit 100 in craw color.

I've tried the LiveTarget and like everything else from them I've tried, it was a dud. 

Top 3 are:

 

Crawfish

Old Matte Lite

Pearl black Back

 

Otherwise look into the Rebel shallow and Deep Wee-R baits in similar colors.

“Crawfish Orange Belly” and I’ll order the others as well. 

 

One thing i noticed though, is that in the BassPro photo, the “Old Matte Lite” looks Exactly like the “Crawfish Orange Belly”. I mean exactly. Maybe they made a photo error, or I’m just missing something? I’ll be getting the Pearl black backs as well.

I've used the live target craw and it definitely catches fish, but not any better than other similar size/color cranks 

I’ve been fooled by live target one to many times. I’m done with them.

Old matte lite is matte finished and the colors are not as dark. The ones I have are older and you can see the difference more than these.
