Anyone ordered from ack and if so did you order all your accessories threw them as well or did you go threw a cheaper alternative for example the paddles ? Or a crate?

 Going to be ordering a kayak from them soon.

I would highly recommend Ack. It seems I heard that the company might have sold recently, and it has been a while since I have needed anything, but I've ordered a half dozen times from them and was never disappointed. Unless something has changed, Ack is top notch.

 

Ack's order fulfillment process is unbelievable. I am not certain how they do it. I once ordered some accessories for one of my kayaks a few years ago and the package was sitting on my front porch the very next day.

 

I tend to buy my kayaks "in person," but for someone who might be remote, need to order one, Ack would be a great source.

Always 100% inspect a kayak that’s shipped to you, no matter where you buy it. Plenty of em get destroyed in transit.

I’m not sure which one I’m going to get it’s a toss up with the ss117 or the top water 106, not going to get a PDL I was on the phone with them yesterday it’s pretty expensive but hoping to order it by the end of the month. My brother has a boat but he’s an ass so I want my own rig to get on the water, right now I’m bank fishing. I drive a car so I’m car topping I need something small but good. I’m 5’9 at 195 pounds. I want a stable affordable kayak.

How far are you to Canyon Lake? If you wanna do demo drive, I have pescador pro 100 10' kayak. You can try fit on your car and try fishing with it. It is small and stable enough not standing thou.

I have family that lives about 40 minutes away from you. Im more up north, but Standing is a major factor for me. If I don’t get a boat by the next time I visit down their I will pm you and maybe check it out. Thanks James??

I've ordered four kayaks from ACK over the past 10 years and have never had an issue. I also order my accessories from them. (mounts, paddles, PFDs)

I've heard good things about ACK but I ended up getting my yak (and yakcessories) through Delaware Paddlesports. Small shop brick & mortar shop (they have a website too), great service, and when I had questions the owner was very responsive/fast on emails and chat. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately that doesn't cover Kayak purchase.  And they currently have a 15% accessories and free shipping going on.  I'm looking to grab a Kayak for next season, but not sure what I want to get.  Also am wondering what kind of Black Friday deals they may have and if it's worth waiting till the end of the month. 

I have had great support from ACK.  ACK does a lot to support the sport of kayak fishing here in Texas. I have fished the KATS (kayak angler tournament series) for the last five years. ACK sponsors and runs that series. There has been some changes in the local hierarchy (staff turnover) that are disturbing. Not so sure what the future holds for KATS. Hope they continue to support the tournament fishing like they have.

Let me know when you come by I will even let you try my SLX lol. 

I have ordered accessories from them occasionally and for me the shipping took forever and I was given the runaround as far as availability.  The web had stuff in stock but they really didn't and then when i inquired i wasn't ever given a straight answer.  

Another option to consider is Appomattox river company.  I am pretty sure they ship boats for a very reasonable price and they are great to deal with.

I've purchased several things from ACK, although never a yak. Friendly folks, fast delivery, fair prices. I'll purchase from them again.
