Need help to Identity this Strike King Lipless Color

Featured Replies

Need help to identity my slayer, need to order this specfic one since I lost this last month airborne :(.

I know this is Strike King -  Would like to say this is Sexy Lavender Shad or Chartreuse Shad ?

Is it just faintly purple/violet on top?  That would be Sexy Lavender Shad.  If it's more of a blue-ish it would be Sexy Blue Back Herring.  I love those things.

Looks like sexy blue back or chartreuse shad to me.

This is Charteuse Sexy Shad.

Herring has no dot.

I think yours is Sexy Lavender Shad going by placement of the dot.

Thanks guys -

I am thinking it's Sexy Lavender Shad since I do recall that it does have purple on the top. All of those lures that you guys mention are in my list on Tackewarehouse.

If you don't order soon they'll be sold out of the best items. It seems TW is the hottest place to shop this year.

@Burke,

From the 2019 SK catalog:

Sexy Blue Back Herring and Sexy Lavender Shad do not have red eyes.

Just had the itch, told the wife that we are getting out of the house and go walk around (Bass Pro was at the mall :ok-wink:

It seems to be "Chartreuse Shad" due to the red eye compare to the "Sexy Lavender Shad" that has clear eye.

I believe they were all RED eye until this new catalog. I wish they would've just left them all REDEYE shad.....

Make sure to get some of the 2 Taps, you won't be disappointed.

FWIW eye color will NOT be consistent from bait to bait with SK.

I have gotten new baits from them in the same shipment, in the same color/size, from the same vendor, with different eyes.

I have even gotten baits that were supposed to be the same color, with totally different paint jobs.

It doesn't matter to the fish, they are still very productive baits. But I have gone away from using SK products because of this. What else are they NOT paying attention to? I don't seem to recall such wide swings in QC with Spro, Lucky Craft, etc....but they are also a few more $$$. Even Booyah products, which are a little more in the SK price range, seem better built and have better QC.
