I have have seen some people using this stuff. $10 for quite a bit of line seems too good to be true. 

 

Anyone using it and and what type of set up? 

 

I use it on some of my spinning gear. 6# and 8# only. It’s ok. I happen to strip my line back and respool often. Quite often really. Not sure if some of the old timer will agree but it is not as good as it once was. I by Trilene XL in bulk also. Try it. No harm no foul. I’m not gonna dis it nor praise it. I’m lucky to have a wife that helps me respool. We seem to have down how to spool spinning reel so that it does not kink or back curl. 

I always have some around.  I mostly use it on spinning reels.

It was great line in the late 90s and early 2000s then randomly started having issues with it around 2005. Haven’t used it since. 

Berkley Big Game Green is as cheap as it gets for bulk line and is highly rated throughout this forum. It's readily available in big box stores as well..

I like Big Game also. Works great on casting reels.

The minimum lb is like 10#. I would like to find some good 8# line. 

I use it mainly for backer/filler, but it's OK line for bargain cost - I usually have 6/10/15 bulk spools around at any given time.  

Ya, there is something that feels good about having new line often. I wouldn't feel to bad stripping this and putting new line on every now and then.

Been using BPS EXCEL 20, 14 and 8lb for various techniques for 18 years.  Not the only line I use now though.
