I would say you bought an SV103 in 8 to 1 (purple) and was provided the wrong box.  You don't fish with the box so you got a fantastic deal.  I would jump on that model for that retail every day all day. You hit the lottery. I have the same model in a lower gear ratio. Awesome reel.
