Frog Wake Bait

Featured Replies

A buddy of mine sent me this on FB this morning. Said he saw it at his local Academy. Looks like it might catch a fish or two, But I am skeptical of the legs. I may ride by my local Academy tomorrow and see if they have any in stock.

I haven't seen that in the stores, and I don't even see it on their website. Must be brand new.

Two treble hooks on a frog is just asking for trouble. I reckon it would catch a fish, but you could probably call it Lt. Dan after the first hit.

I don't think that it is meant to be use on pads or thick mats.

Right, but that's the great thing about most frog designs - you can throw them anywhere. This is just pretty limited for a frog design. This thing would be good to have on a second rod for when you get a blow-up.

I imagine you'd fish it much like the BBZ Rat. I wonder if the rear hook will mess with the legs at all.

I have caught many bass on it. Throwing it along the weedless bank and slow cranking in. Makes a good wake and great action!

Even if you chop the legs off, looks like a decent wake bait. Idk why, but wake baits are one of my favorite things to fish. The market seems a little small on them, so I’m always looking for cool new ones.
