Berkley FireLine Crystal

I'm always open to trying new lines, and have always read decent reviews on this line.

I was wondering if any of you have any experience with it, and what are your thoughts?

It's been my go-to crappie fishing line on 4 reels for a decade. Very happy with it. I've used both the 4 and 6 lb. and see little difference.

I use the 14lb on my steelhead hardware rod.  It's a Penn Spinfisher V 3500 and I use it for throwing plugs, spoons, and spinners off of piers and at river mouths.  No complains, holds up well.

Fireline was my first foray into superlines. I used it on a spinning combo. It was OK, but braids are better. I switched to PowerPro and I'm very happy with it. Now I use 20 lb on spinning gear, 30 on my worm/jig rod and 50 on my frog combo. I am considering trying a different brand next though.

Like many of life's finer things, fishing Fireline can be an acquired taste.
