I am looking at purchasing a few falcon buccoo sr casting rods. For whatever reason I can't stand Eva grips and was wondering how hard and costly it would be to replace the grips with Winn or full cork handles?

You would be better off just buying the new falcon cara that just came out. They are only $129

I think you mean Falcon Lowrider rods.

 

To answer OP's question, I'm not sure what it would cost but regripping a rod generally means removing the guides and reel seat. The grip goes on from the tip end. It would not be worth doing on a $100 rod. But as CroakHunter mentioned, I would look at the Falcon Lowrider series if you want cork.

The Winn grip is an EVA grip covered with a covering.

Have you seen the Winn grip tape, a lot like bike handlebar tape or tennis racket tape exc its surface is the same as their grips.  I think it's about $10 a roll of 8 feet.  Easy. Mudhole.com and other rod builder supply outfits.

thats what I am going to get, I am allowed to send the rods in and exchange them/get them repaired.

I had winn grips put on a St. Croix rod.  They can be installed from the butt end.  Likely something you could do yourself.  There are videos on YouTube.

 

I wound up paying a rod builder to do mine.  Cost 40 bucks but I likely over paid.  Love the grips

About $17 in parts plus shipping.  Actually that sounds about right considering the labor required to cleanly strip a grip from a rod.

Considering the time involved, I would not do it for $40.

my friend has a 7'1" MH Bass X and a 7.3:1 tattle with braid. Borrowed it one morning fishing with him and I caught tons of bass on the buzz bait version of that KVD Spinnerbait, and then even more on that exact spinner. funny that the two of you have the same looking setup! love the Winn grips to and the alx zolo haha!

Yeah man.  The 7'4" is such a good rod.  Really versatile tip.

That does seem a bit low.  I have an old IMX spinning rod that I would love to have a TN grip installed on but between the cost plus shipping it does not seem worth it.  

Not much work at all.  They are installed from the butt end so the only thing that comes off is the old grips.  Only reason I paid to have it done is because I don't have a reamer.

I've done a couple regrips that $40 didn't even cover the labor of removing the old grip.  I lost money on those ones.   Some rods are just a pain and you don't know til you start in to them.
