or perhaps PLine CXX is stronger...

5/0 Gamakatsu superline hook.  17 lb. PLine CXX.  Stump in 20' of water.  After much pulling, this is what happened.

Thats pretty impressive.  I have more faith in my equipment now.  I fish 3/0 and 4/0 Gammy's with 15lb CXX.

CXX is not called extra extra strong for nuthin ', it really is extra extra strong, pulled a 30 lb log with 12 lb test and the line didn 't even sweat it, uprooted huisache brush with it also, and for those who don 't know what huizache is just let me tell you, you don 't mess with that stuff .... it uses line as dental floss. ;)

Huisache, very very tough and nasty:

ruined that hook been there done that.  Thats what cxx will do for ya almost always get your lure back.

Make sure you cut about 5-10 ft of line off before you start fishing it again.  CXX is super stong but you probably streached it out and it will start snapping on you if you try that again.  Learned that one the hard way. :-/

Gamakatsu are the only worm hooks that I like to use. They are also very sharp!
