This might be be old news. But Lews,Strike king, Hunter Specialtys have been accquired by BDT Capital Parteners, June 5th-2019.

Acquired or partners? 

Lew's holdings being bought by a private equity firm is old news. One private equity firm selling it to another is new.

As long as they keep building excellent reels it doesn't bother me.

Acquisition is all about profits and that usually equals cost cutting.

Some how I get the sense that this may not be a good thing. I think the real winner here is Peak Rock Capital. 

Let's hope they don't think they know about bass fishing equipment and baits then we do and screw up their products.
