Bought some cork seal for my rod as I’m noticing the filler cracking, bought some filler and am going to fill in the cracks and then apply the seal, would I apply to the left side of this grip on the darker side or leave that be?

Put it on everything.  Won't hurt, can help.  Might improve the contrast a litte.  One coat.  Not two.

I’m interested to see your results @JacobPollitz if you decide to do it. Reason being I’ve got a couple of Loomis handles that are starting to show their age. And welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums!

For your older cork, clean it up with soap and water or magic erasers.  Sand it a little if it needs more to look almost like new.  I you have big voids, fill them and sand flush.  THEN use the cork seal.  Because cork is impermeable only one coat is recommended.  By using the U40 cork seal you are setting yourself up for cork that doesn't get as nasty and that cleans up easily and nicely.  It's the real deal.  Not magic, but significantly helps.

@J._Bricker filled in some small holes and sealed it up! Looks great, I think I might have over applied it a bit in some areas it’s a bit more shiny and I did have a little glob that I didn’t notice afterward but I grabbed a peice if cardboard and scraped it off and applied another tiny coat to the area. The red circle is an area I filled as you can see by the color difference compared the the rest of the filler. Turned out great in my opinion! UPDATE: Sanded parts that looked shiny with 320 grit sand paper and reapplied small coat and turned out great

Just one thin coat does it.

I put one coat on but I must have not spread it out evenly enough and it gloves up in an area

I just used one thin coat the wiped the brush dry and went over everything again.

Very nice work @JacobPollitz, looks like factory new. I’m currently waiting for cork filler and U-40 cork sealer from Mudhole Tackle to arrive. I did contact G Loomis to ask what products they’d recommend to do this repair myself. And as one might expect, the reply was send it in if you think it’s a warranty repair due to defective materials...

Yea.. That’s the kind of reply I would expect. Also ordered mine from mud hole. 

I think companies have a maximum IQ limit on people they hire to answer customer inquiries.  They simply don't often get what one is asking.  You'll like the products you're ordering.
