I haven't caught the first one on this lake. I've both read and heard that reservoir smallmouth tend to associate to rocky banks and points more so than vegetation, and fish these areas with mostly Ned Rigs and Flukes and only ever end up with spots. 

Right below watts bar dam or or right below chickamauga dam on nickajack. People catch them all over the lake but not in great numbers. The best chance at a bunch is in the tail waters 

Agree with TnRiver46...have caught some dandy's up close to dam.  Football jigs...cranks.
