I'm looking for a technique-specific jig/T rig pitching rod. I fish from a kayak almost exclusively. I'm currently using a Falcon rod that's very sensitive, but is really made for big deep crankbaits. I don't want a rod longer than 7' because I like the ability to skip with some accuracy. I don't stand and employ the underhand pitch much. I mostly sidearm skip or just target cast so a bit of a tip is a good thing. My top budget would be around $150, regular retail price. What you got?

Boy oh boy, if you'd go 7'4 and $199 have I got the rod for you!  Just purchased it myself and fish 99% of the time from a kayak.........................

Id go with a falcon bucoo 'pitching stick'6-10 h/f. I have the bucoo micro and love it.

I use a Carbonlite 2.0 6'9 Mh-xf from the bank and kayak for the techniques you describe and I am quite happy with it. 

The carbonlite 2.0 is a fine rod but my favorite in the 100 range is the shimano slx. Solid sticks at a bargain price.  Think i saw American legacy has the falcon lowrider split grip rods marked down from 149 to like 79 and I hear they're amazing rods. Lots of good options in your price range. I'd go handle several and get whatever feels best to you

Sportsmans Outfitters has a lot of options. Their new model Falcon Lowriders are $99 bucks instead of $130 elsewhere and they have a 6ft10 Head Turner which is made for pitching to 7ft models. Tatulas are that price also but they are 7ft1.

I tried one of these out a few days ago.  It has a weird short grip but it works for kayaking.  It is almost a sensitive as the Avid line but maybe a fuzz more than the Premier.  The action is also weird and specific to kayaks.  It seems stoat at the tip but flexible.  It almost reminds me of an Ugly Stick but less whippy.

I have this rod and got it for $99 from sportsman’s and I love it. Light, balanced and plenty sensitive. Easy to skip too!!
