Huge flatty..That fish would have brought a good chunk of change here in the USA..Glad they released it.

Love to see those giant flat.

I watch video about halibut trip up in Alaska very often. I love to eat halibut and even caught one myself here in SoCal.

I've caught my fair share of flatty's, mostly in the bays, i.e. Newport harbor, Los Alamitos, Huntington and Redondo. Actually caught them by mistake, as I was fishing Spotties (spotted Bay Bass) while fishing in a float tube. I too like halibut, but reading that they released that big ole fish made me smile. Opps, forgot to say, all fish I catch get sent back in the water. And yes there is a slot limit, forgot what it is..duh.
