Real time Live Sight sonar

It's arrived real time sonar screen display with scanning sonar. Just watch Gary Klein demonstrate the Lowrance unit watching bait, fish, cover and structure moving across the screen in real time left to right in lieu of right edge to left history display.

I am sure all the mfr's are introducing similar technology that changes the future bass fishing.

Yea, Garmin's had this technology for at least 4 years.

Didn’t Garmin license the technology to Lowrance?

(opinion) it takes the fishing out of fishing.

Yup, and Lowrance's version is no where near as good as Garmin's from all the reviews I've seen. Garmin's original panoptix is pretty sweet, but their livescope is mind-blowing.

I'm not exactly sure how all that worked out.  I think they both decided the only people coming out on top of the lawsuits were their lawyers.

exactly.  Garming got to use down imaging and Lowrance go a piece of the live panoptix action... they did not get the live sight... but it is more than they had.
