DSG hasn't been the same since they fired the PGA Pros that were staffed at each store without cause and no notice a few years ago.....

Is it strictly sales related? Seems like In my area dicks is leaving the hunting/fishing market all together. The selection of gear continues to dwindle except for the clothing (mainly Columbia and under armour) but those can apply to more than just hunting and fishing.

Mine is getting rid of hunting and fishing right now.  No reason for me to go there now.  Screw them.

Have you considered that it's not worth carrying those products anymore because it's losing them money?  Businesses have to restructure what they sell all the time, it's just part of running a business.

I have..  but Dick's is too "woke".  Personally, my stores knows me.  The staff has been keeping me informed bas I am getting deals.  Before this, they were good to me.  I supported Dick's because they had what I needed.  They and Walmart are dumping all of us sportsmen with the criminals...  So, I have started to buy from local stores who need the money more than the big dogs.  Because of this, the other stores in the area sportsman's Warehouse being right across the street, is taking their business in the category.  It was not profitable for them because of their own doing.

I don't care to consider companies that do not consider me.  I am a law abiding citizen. I speak with my money.

My wife bought me a pellet grill for Father's Day there last June and a complete hammock/camping/backpack set up for my bday this past November.

So I get a flyer in the mail last week from my points with some really good coupons, etc. They did away with hunting stuff back when Gander Mtn moved in across the street. Academy was already on the other side of the street and Bass Pro less than 7-8 miles.

However, I went in last weekend and ALL fishing was gone as well. That would've literally been the only thing I would bought there. Nothing outdoorsman left just clothing for sporty stuff and golf clubs.

Academy has the most awesome return policy. It's so good I don't see how they afford to do it honestly.

DSG close to me has fishing rods in the gun display racks and random fishing stuff in the display cases. I'll spend my money up the road at Bitter's Baits.
