Lucky Craft RC 1.5 DD

Featured Replies

I'm a fan of the long  discontinued RC series and pick them up when I can. Does anyone know if there is anything in the current line up that replaced that series under a different name ? The RTO perhaps ?

I don't think there is.  I could be wrong but the RC series was originally made for Bass Pro Shop and it expanded from there.  I thought it coincided with a Rick Clunn series of equipment.  The baits as I remember were not well received as they seemed cheaper than the other Lucky Craft baits at the same price.  I think after they were discontinued BPS came out with a XPS crankbait that was almost identical.

The Lucky Craft LC DD DRS maybe the closest.

There are plenty of knockoff blanks from this bait mold out there. I have a buddy who custom paints and he sells a lot of them.

Get a hold of Fulks Custom Cranks. He has a website and Facebook page.

Au contraire. The Lucky Craft Rick Clunn series was very well received and became popular among anglers, especially the squarebill. They were discontinued after Rick Clunn split with Lucky Craft (and if anyone knows the real story behind that one I'd like to hear it.) Lucky Craft, after some time, did market the same lures as their RC lures in the red and gold boxes for awhile, but even those have been discontinued. As @FishTank stated, the LC DD is a good representation of the original RC baits and IMO, will perform just as well.
