Wacky Hook Size #1

I use 1/0 for wide gap finesse hooks when wacky rigging 6" stick baits typically. #1 I would be fine with using for smaller or thinner worms.

Is it too small to hook bass with this size hook? What are your thoughts on this?

Absolutely not too small. For years I was using size #2 Gamakatsu

Split shot/drop shot hooks for bass and caught plenty of girls over

4 pounds.

Heck, for a while I went down to #4 Gamakatsu Wide Gap Finesse!

I thought I read a few places that #1 was the perfect size. I went out and got some owner #1 and they have been working. I did have a monster smallmouth sling one back at me on the jump after a long fight but I think that can happen with any hook every now and then.

Definitely not too small.  I get better hookups when i wacky rig with an EWG, but I only use a #4 and #2 Gamakatsu ewg hook when I do it.  I never lose fish.

I buy the bulk packs

Not too small. I got one size bigger earlier this year and wish I got the 1

I use a #2 VMC weedless neko hook for wacky rigging, works great, and sticky sharp.
