Looking at the Plano weekender series soft sided tackle bags.  Thinking of using one for my bags of sold plastics.  Specifically the 3600 size one.

 

My question is, how are the zippers on these?

I have the 3600 Weekender bag and used it for plastics last year - all divided up into 3600 boxes for organization. With my latest purchases, I found that it wasn't big enough. So moved my hard-tackle to a BPS Extreme Qualifier 3700 and the plastics to a Cabelas Advanced Angler bag. the AA bag holds 6-3600 boxes in the main compartment and one more in the front zip pocket - lots more room than the Weekender which only holds 4-3600 boxes.

 

Both the Weekender and the Advanced Angler bag have decent zippers. If you're planning on getting more plastics...I'd recommend the Advanced Angler bag.

I should probably add I only carry the BASS free tackle bag full of plastics right now.  Everything stays in original packaging.  I can't remember what stuff is and I need that package when I run out. I just want something that size with better zippers.

Get the 'empty' AA bag, then put the bags in 3607 boxes. That's how I do it.

Bought one for my step dad last year and ended up picking one up for myself.  Both work fine.

I have two. They are great

I've got a Plano weekender as well and really like it. The zipper pulls themselves are really nice, but overall the fabric is a little on the thinner/lighter side compared to some other tackle bags. I'd buy another one if something happened to mine. 

I have the 3500 and 3600 sizes for quick trips to the canal or river. I have had no issues with the zippers. I really like the mesh pockets on the back and side pockets. Perfect spot to place scissors and hook remover.

Go to the tool bag section at Harbor Freight right now.  Look at the canvas tool bags.  They are cheap, zippers designed to hold 20 lb or so of tools, nothing not to like.  I've got around a dozen of them.  The 12 'canvas bag will hold  20 bag easily and 30 or more if you cram them.  Hope your favorite canvas color is black.

BPS Extreme Qualifier 3700 in camo - stores the same 5 boxes as the Guide series - $45 with 4-3700 boxes included...this is the one I have.

Picked up the weekender last year. It's a basic bag (which is what I wanted) and it's held up fine for me. No issues at all. Something light and easy to carry.
