Myth. According to science, cattle lay down when it is cold because it keeps them warmer (body heat), storm or no storm. It is often cold before a storm so that's how it got started.

The Daily Mail and Farmers Almanac may say otherwise, but there is no scientific evidence that cows predict weather in such a manner.

Still more reliable than my local weatherman :)

Well, I have not read the book, but I can say categorically, LINE MATTERS.

  • That the world record tie was caught in an oxbow in the state of Georgia.

Myth = Spinnerbaits do not work in pressured public water.

Truth = I have caught lots of bass on spinnerbaits in pressured public water, and many of those bass where big. Like any other lure there is a time and place spinnerbaits work best.

Agreed. Some days in a public pond I'll throw everything, then switch to my trusty spinnerbait and start catching fish. Same with the lake from the bank. Caught one with a chatterbait in an hour and got tired of throwing it. Switched to a spinnerbait and caught 2 in 10 minutes.
