It Finally Paid Off

Being a member here finally paid off. Went fishing today on a creek close by. I had watched Glenns video and read all the posts about Hula Grubs. I bought a couple of packs last year. I finally caught something with them today. I got a huge LMB all of 10" long. Later I caught a monster SMB about 6" long on it. I had the grub mounted on a shaky head. Glad to know I bought something that will catch fish. LOL. The best part was stopping to fill the truck up with gas before coming home for a $1.28 a gallon.

How long did you have to fight those monsters? Also, how much bend they put in your rod?

Yeah hula grub is great especially on standup jig head. I like it on 1/10 weedless Zman mushroom jig head (4” version). Lately I bought 100 pack of 1/8 shaky head which also work well with hula grub 5”. When nothing get bite, I always turn to hula grub.

It was a tough battle but I got them in without using a net.

I really wasn't sure of the best way to rig them. I have a pack of 4" and a pack of 5". I caught these on the 4" ones.
