Well I don't have any of the tactical flashlights, but I have taken a liking to Coast flashlights, they are bright and survived being ran over with my truck so they may be worth a look.

I love my streamlight. But I've been hearing people rave about olights

Boomstick i bought 2 coast from walmart ipx 8 rating 13 each seem nice ...olights im checking them now

I have several Coast's in different sizes. The Single AA one is sweet for carrying in your pocket and has a hat or shirt pocket clip.  Also their headlamp is good too. :)

Depends on what features you are looking for in a "Tactical" flashlight, but more often then not I like the general purpose lights from most manufactures then their tactical variant. Cost less too. I am a big Streamlight fan and have dozens of their products. Had Surefires in the past, but I find they cost more then a similar Streamlight. I still have two Surefire weapon lights though.

My EDC light is the USB chargeable version of the Streamlight MicroStream. I have two or three of them now. I have have at least a dozen of the normal AAA MicroStream, they are $15-$20. You can use normal AAA batteries in them or rechargeables.

The best Tactical Streamlight I have is the ProTac 1L-1AA. It can use a CR123A battery or a AA battery. I have also used a AAA battery in it in a pinch. I like the versatility of using more then one battery type. I just find it too big to pocket carry vs other options above. I keep it in a bag in my truck instead as well as the Streamlight ProTac 2L-X USB and a Streamlight Bandit.

Fenix also makes some good lights.

I bought a Coast light as a local hardware store that runs on a single AAA battery and not too large to put on a keychain but it was built like a tank and 20 or 30 lumens. I am not sure they still make the model, it may be a G5 but I think it's closer to the G10 or G19 in size but those are inspection beams (I also have a G19). I carry it on me when hiking, camping and night fishing and it's bright enough to get me to the bathroom when camping without any issues.

I since bought the HP7 is a bit larger but pocketable. It has three settings, I usually only need the lowest but I once did drop something and the bright was nice. Mine is an older model and the new one is like twice as bright.

Usually the ones I see at Walmart aren't the same solid steel chassis that most of their lineup has, but you will know by looking at it.
