Don’t need specific pricing but if you’ve seen Tritons being noticeably less expensive since they are basically the same boat.  Looking at the 18foot in both

I looked at both in 2018.  They were basically the same boat with some minor differences and had slightly different prices in 2018.  I went with the Ranger because I liked the console better.  I doesn't seem like they are investing much in the Triton brand so resale might not be as good a few years down the road.

I can't tell, other than the title that there's any other question in your post.  Are you asking why Tritons are less, or if they are less?  Or if anyone has priced out these boats?

 

I've been pricing out many boats for several months.  For aluminum, neither of these brands is on my radar., so I haven't noticed.  The modified V platform has been around a while, and any of these boats have some common traits,  the differences mostly lie in the hull gauge, fit and finish, and layout.  There's a few exceptions, like Xpress and GatorTrax, that have a pad hull construction that's different from the rest.

I think there is a Ranger Aluminum that has a pad hull now.  RT188P - P is for the pad hull.

Cool. It also has an offset transom.  Unusual for a tin hull.  

Triton's have always been less expensive than Ranger. Doesn't matter if they are tin or glass. Chevy Cavalier and Cadillac Cimmaron were the same thing only different. The question you need to ask yourself is "Are the differences in the boats worth the differences in cost?"

While I've not seen one in person it appears not to be a true "pad" hull like Xpress, GatorTrax, or Vexus.

 

I will be getting over to our local dealer to check em out.

Just traded in my Triton aluminum (made in same facility as Ranger aluminum BTW) on a Vexus  and couldn’t be happier. You’re correct only the Vexus  is on a true pad and the difference in ride is incredible. Much dryer in rough chop. Truly no comparison.  Vexus my vote all day long!

Xpress Hyper-Lift is the original pad hull aluminum. Both are without a doubt above the others on performance & handling.

Can't speak for the Vexus, I regret ever selling my Xpress.
