Need info on Yo Zuri popper

Featured Replies

Looking for source or info on this exact popper, color doesn't matter. I bought it 15-20 years ago and I can't find any of these online. Only thing on it is "Yo Zuri F".

Thanks Jedi, close but no cigar. These poppers were called ZZ Pops, yes 1 letter away from a rockin beard, cheap sunglasses and a fuzzy guitar. They were sold under the Fenwick Methods brand as the Chug n Bait from '94-'96 and must went the way of the dinosaur around 2005. They are a beautiful lure and known fish catchers! The lines and quick taper of this lure is beautiful (notice how the rear hook is on the bottom and the tail points out unlike most poppers) and looking at images on Google there were so many amazing color patterns for this popper back in the day. I'm afraid I'm 20 years too late on these...

Does anybody remember the Fenwick branded baits?

One on the left is a Fenwick I think? Right is a Yozuri.

And before anyone says it yes I am a lure hoarder so don't judge me.

Yes the one on left matches the Fenwick and your Yo-Zuri is possibly a 3d model. I knew you was a lure hoarder!! Takes one know one they say! I hope start seeing more pieces of your "collection"!!

I think I have a couple of these but not in that clown color. If I can find them I will trade you for something.

Found this one, I know it isn't the same color but these are rare.

^^^this^^^ the rear hook isn't at the tail end, it's forward. This is a early 2000 lure very hard to find today.

I still have a few of the Yo-zuri "Arms" series of lures as a local liquidator still has some on the shelf...I believe it was there first freshwater line....The ZZ-Pop, they had a Pins Minnow 90, a little walker, ultraight Aile Minnow, and the first version of the Vibe lipless cranks. The Aile Magnet Topwater is still one of my go to walkers.

I still have a gold zz Pop in my box that I always carry. Has a unique action and shape, kind of like a smaller version of the Heddon Spit N Image.   The little walker is another good bait as it has the long cast bearings, is the size of the zara puppy, came in translucent colors like watermelon, and had a cupped face like a sammy....Yo-zuri has always made quality lures.

The other lure they had was the Crystal vibe silent heavy lipless crank/Spoon which people pay good money for on Ebay.....Clown color on bottom
