I'm looking to buy a new casting reel around the 80 dollar price range I just bought a new rod a 7'2 MH/F plan on using it for jigs and certain trigs. The best casting reel I own is a Lew's speed spool wanting to try something different and maybe just a hair cheaper. Looked into the new KastKing Royale Legend Elites and their price is 78 just wondering what are some other good reels around that price. 

For that price range ther Diawa fuego is hard to beat. Much better performer than the Royal Legend Elite.

I owned 2 royal legend elites. I donated them and replaced them with Diawas.

How does the Daiwa Fuego compare to the SLX from Shimano since they are around the same price?

I can't speak for the Fuego but I have fished (don't own) the SLX.  It's a surprisingly good reel.  It fished like a much higher priced reel.  My only complaint is that in hand it felt small, like a 70 or the older 50 size Shimano's but it had it where it counted. 

I have both the Fuego and SLX reels, both are very good.  If you need a Rod too, get the combo deal, that makes the reel $70. Otherwise the reel is around $100 and at that point I would get the Fuego at $75 or so if you shop.

I Can't compare with the shimano. I don`t personally own one.

Tried one, but they don`t fit my hand.

Why you would buy anything other than another Lews lfs is beyond me. At Sportsmans Outfitters they're in the low 80s range.
