Just when you thought you had your own..

Little slice of heaven.

When I went bank fishing last week I trekked approximately half a mile further than I normally do Along the lake bank. I came across a spot that seemed untouched by mankind and was beautiful all around the slew. I could not find one single beer can or piece of trash on the ground anywhere. I silently proclaimed my new found honey hole as my own.

Then as I turn around and set my back pack and rods down to retrieve a bag of zoom plastics....I see this.

Of course it’s sideways when I upload the picture, but it’s a white power cord just wrapped around a branch for seemingly no reason. I literally felt robbed. I’m probably 1.5 miles alongside the bank at this point yet I find this crap. I can’t stand people who do this.3B9D7212-218F-4A1F-B9A9-98DBB9078A84.jpeg.e2d0a56fbeed70b89b4d7532872006e4.jpeg

That's actually really creepy.

We found a very secluded spot last year that's pretty much un-fished. By the end of the season we found that a sort of shantytown was setting up deep in the woods on one side of the place. My buddy knows the lingo and informed anyone whose paths we crossed that we weren't the police.  For no particular reason we didn't fish there again last season.

This year we hit it on the 2nd weekend of April with pruning equipment to clear paths. When we got to the end of a newly beaten path we found a spot near the water that looked like a garbage truck had exploded. Junk and refuse everywhere. We found a similar scene every few hundred feet. Literally a dump. We got a little farther and closer to the "town" and found what to me looked like a warning. I don't know what else to call it. Come to your own conclusion. The picture is bizarre, but it was super bizarre walking up on the real thing given the context of everything else. There were way more of them then there were of us, and they didn't look thrilled that we were there. I was happy to vamoose, after we fished of course.?

Agreed. Haven’t seen too many creepy things fishing; hunting is a different story. I was helping my landowner track his buck and we found this on a tree at the bottom of the hill where it turned into wetlands.

When I was younger me and a bunch of other kids would go to this little road/trail, the only thing at the beggining of the trail was some big blocks and a chain across them, being kids we did not care and would explore the woods near our town and their was junk, old tapes/movies,a rusted old truck, tires, sleeping bags, baskets, and a doll hanging by a noose in a tree. Vary strange but interesting, ?☠️

Call authorities and have them removed? Or is it like California where people can live wherever they want and trash the place and you just have to live with it?
