Any idea on weight?

Featured Replies

My son got this one yesterday.  So excited to get her released, we didn't even weight it.  I'm thinking 5lbs?

Yeah, he looks like maybe 50 lbs. ?

Was the length measured? There are charts available online with average weights by length. I'd guess about 5 as well.

I didn't have a tape measure and our scale was out of batteries. :(

If you have any extra fishing line you can use it and just cut it to the length and girth and measure later. Not as accurate as a set of scales, but probably more accurate that just a bunch of guesses from BR members. :)

5lb all day long baby.

Looks like a 7lb head on  a 5 lb body . I'll split the difference and guess six .

Somewhere betwern 2 and 12. Its impossible to give an estimate from a pic. Thats why you always have scale or tape. You never know when you will catch a big one. And being able to know for sure is nice. I usually just measure them and have good idea of its weight based on that. Ill only weigh it if its really big.

4.26754 final answer ;) I like the guess game.  I always carry a seamstress tape for the dead battery issue.  If your really stuck lay a flat dollar bill on it as a reference
