A really dumb question - double tail grubs

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I just picked up senkos on sale & decided to also try a bag of yamamoto double tail grubs. Now, I guess I could use these as a trailer on spinners, but I don't use trailers. Any other suggestions on how to fish these grubs?

thanks!

Try them as jig trailers.... ;)

Depending on which model you bought, you could use them as a jig trailer or you could just rig them Trigged and fish them anywhere you fish amy of your other plastics.

Good luck!

I agree with Brad, but I don't actually fish them alone. I think they make GREAT trailers.

I've had good luck using a 1/8 to 1/4 oz ballhead jig with a slow retrieve.  The bigger sized ones work well on a 3/8 - 1/2 oz football jighead, retrieved along the bottom.

Try  t-rigging them backwards with the tails up, many guy like the fat ika backwards (as do I) but have also played with the grubs backwards and been pleasently surprised

I often use double tails just like I use curly tail grubs I thread them on a 1/8 or 1/4 oz jig head and swim them.

Hey thanks everybody. I think I'm going to try all of the suggestions & see what happens - even the trailers.

Again, great forum, thanks! ;D
