Ozark trail tungsten

Featured Replies

My local Walmart has just started carying ozark trail tungsten and it seems to be priced pretty fairly. I don’t remember if they had inserts or not but I was wondering if anyone has tried these? I plan on picking some up but I’m worried that it might be poorly made and fray the line. On a side note the ozark trail spinnerbaits actually look really great too

99.9% of OT's products are junk. But if it's cheaper or at least comparable to online prices, it'd be worth it to pick up a pack and check out. Put it on the line and rub the line back and forth through it, and see if it frays. Worst case scenario is you're out a few bucks.

I've had quite the opposite experience from ozark trail products.  Everything I've bought that was ozark trail has met or exceeded my expectations.  Id have no reservations giving their tungsten a try. Of course I also like strike king tungsten and most people think they're junk as well. Try em out and let us know!

Can easily add an insert if you want

So what was the tungsten price at Walmart?

Saw all these ozark trail lures other day when I stopped in Walmart. I was confused lol.

The Wal-Marts by me are terrible. I don't get any of this cool stuff some other guys seem to find at theirs. No Ozark Trail whopper ploppers, no tungsten, never anything good on sale for a price worth buying, really not much of anything in stock anymore. I guess it keeps me from spending money I don't need to spend.

My local Walmart has finally stocked some Ozark Trail lures. No Tungsten yet.

The quality control is lacking as I picked up their version of the Rebel Wee Craw and it was missing an eye. The Ploppers are OK as I have caught bass on them. The problem is durability. One impact on a rock and the one I had was toast. My R2S WP90 has survived many smacks against shore, rocks and trees and is still kicking.

Well I have to eat my words because I had to stop by tonight for some things and they'd actually stocked some new stuff, including OT tungsten. I was with the whole family, so I just glanced quickly, but it was under 5 for 4 1/4oz unpainted if I saw correctly.

That sounds about right, not as cheap as buying it from OM obviously But very convenient and probably the cheapest I’ve seen on store shelves. I will probably buy a pack of the 3/8th and 1/2 and try them out, I’m sure they work fine I mean it’s just a weight after all.

Sounds like the Walmart’s in my area. Selection is not great. I have never been a real fan of them. Fishing stuff or just plain in general. I’ve actually boycotted them as of the pandemic. I won’t go there and get political, and I’d never tell anyone NOT to shop there. Get the best deal wherever that my be. I’ve seen some of the Ozark stuff around. Maybe it branded stuff just repackaged. But I doubt Strike King would do that with their crankbaits. Possibly but I doubt it.
