I ordered another reel from Asian Portal thru Pay Pal on 11/16 2020. The money was posted at 0952 the same morning. I was called from my office this morning (11/19 2020) at 0930 to tell me that it was delivered. That was from Japan to Goose Creek South Carolina in 3 days. Plus that was with free shipping.   I'll be fishing with it tomorrow.

Don't keep us hanging.  What reel was it?

 

I ordered reels from a company in Alabama.  Don't know if they were shipping them or having them dropped shipped from manufacturer.  Delivery was supposed to be between 11-6 to 11-16.  Latest update is 11-17 to 11-20.  Would need my laptop at home to give date of shipment.

 

EDIT:  Shipped 11-3.  So over 2 weeks and still a no show.

 

EDIT2:  Reels arrived today.  Took 17 days to reach here from Moulton, Alabama.  Think they came by mule train.  And the mules were lame. 

I ordered from them recently and had a very positive experience with them. Good prices and unbelievable fast shipping. 

I have ordered from them three times now and great service and prices each time.  I also had a question about a reel and they responded almost immediately.   I hope to order from them again when the Bait Monkey comes calling. 

I buy most of my reels overseas and Asian Fishing Portal is tough to beat for prices and shipping as of the last year. 

Ordered from them a couple times now. Longest I've waited was 5 days and that was at the same time I waited nearly 30 days for a TW order earlier this year. Not sure how they do it either..

 

So what did you get?

They're a great place to buy from.  I got a Luvias LT 2000S-XH a few months back and got it in 4 days.  The price was far cheaper than anybody else. 

The reel is a Shimano SLX mgl 71, gear ratio is 6.3.1. I am spooling it with 13 lb Sunline Shooter Defier Nylon Monofilament. It is going on a Dobyns rod, Champion XP DC 764 CB RM/FH. I am going to use it for fishing on the flats using topwater,wake, squarebill, & lipless baits. I'll find out in the morning how it works out.

Same thing here, except mine was here yesterday, they must know I am a Sooner fan and need something to do during football season.

 

I have been VERY happy with every reel (20 +) that I have bought from them.

JB, Wow down here being a CLEMSON fan you do not need something to do during football season. They are away this week so I'll be able to sneak away for a couple of hours to try my new reel out. Must be back in time for the Brats & Brews around the campfire later. I hope I don't get caught cause lord knows what they will do. Might even make me a Sooners fan. LOL

That's pretty quick, even for Asian Portal. I got a SLX MGL 70 when they first came out back in the Spring and a Metanium MGL B several months ago and they always have the best prices and shipping has been pretty quick coming from Japan.

Has anybody ordered a rod from Asian Portal?

If so, how was it shipped?

Any extra charges from them or customs?
