Has anyone tried Sibert TUNGSTEN SHAKIN BLADE?

Featured Replies

Well, it sounds good, but does it catch fish or fisher? :)   How different is it in comparison to a chatterbait?

Very different action. Fogy hunts left and right much more with a heavier thump. Chatterbait is much more straight line with tighter vibrations.

I recently caught my PB (7lbs) on the new tungsten Fogy.

Why would the action of the two Foggy designs (tungsten vs. football ) be much different from one another ?

Fogy is the vibrating jig made by Seibert Outdoors. Shakin Blade has the same action (to my eyes and hands) as the lead version known as a Fogy.

I can’t tell a difference personally.

I like their jigs, and really wanted to try the Fogy till I realized it doesn't come with a weed guard. I get hang ups a lot hence I would be afraid to throw one of those. Any problem with yours?

Bladed jigs (Chatterbait style) don't have weed guards.

Do these work well for you? I have a couple but after trying them I decided that if I needed something more weedless than a chatterbait that I was a lot better off with a spinner bait. They're now in my thought they'd work great but didn't drawer.

I relegated these to the cypress infested lakes I love to fish. They work pretty well coming through the roots and limbs. They do not work any better in grass than the standard ones.

I don't know about all of you but my chatterbaits catch way more vegetation on the blade than the hook.  A weed guard isn't going to help with that so I don't see the point of a weed guard.
