Jig rod help...

So I know  this has been asked a million times but I need some recommendations. Jigs I throw most often are in the 5/16 and 3/8 range. I would like something in the 7 to 7ft 4 range. With the %20 off sale at T W I could probably swing up to about $150 before discount.

Daiwa Tatula and Falcon Lowriders are nice rods in that price range.

I throw a lot of jigs in that weight range with a Tatula 7-1 Heavy.  Excellent rod, $150.

The Lowrider is under rated in my opinion. They're on sale for like $100 on Sportsman Outfitters too.

In the price range, I would pick Dobyns Sierra. Very close to Champions with a much lower price tag. You can get it for around 110 with the holiday sales, and the 684 is a sweet do-it-all model.

Ha now my budget has been cut to $120 before discount. Any other suggestions?

That would put me around 100 or just under. I'm buying another reel as well or I wouldn't be so tight on the rod budget

This is what Scott Martin uses for tournaments, before he switched to those bling-bling Favorite rods.

What low rider would you recommend for jigs that size? I love falcon rods

Anybody have experience with Ark rods? TW has the Randall Tharp rods on sale and they look kinda cool

The 7' All Around Fast or if your fishing lots of cover than the 7' 4" Heavy Cover Jig rod.

Too many options out there even at my restricted budget. I'm really considering the Ark Tharp series 7ft 3 money maker. Its mediumhvy fast and has good reviews. After discount it comes in at $93.57 so under budget.

Decided to go with the Ark Tharp rod after reading some reviews and a good recommendation. I know I woulda been happy with a Falcon or Dobyns but wanted to try something different.

It casts them a mile too! Depending on the amount of weeds and wood you have, the 7'1" Tatula MH/XF might be a better option - I use mine for up to 1/2oz jigs whenever there aren't too many weeds.
