Is there a market for these reels?

I have 4. Only used 3 times - just kidding - but they were on a shelf for 20 years until last year when I started fishing again.

I had the same situation, was out of bass fishing for quite some time. Own 4 of these in righty. Use them if they are still in good shape, mine still work great. Parts may be a problem moving forward, but I haven’t reached that point yet though.

I looked around and there's some for sale, looks like $80ish is the going rate.

Definitely.  It is one of my favorite reels.  I sold the ones I had and picked up the BSF versions and sold those as well years ago.  I wish I would have held onto one of them.  It's just a classic.  There is also a love affair with these reels in pretty much any condition.

Thanks!

Do you recommend to sell here or ebay?

Doesn't cost you anything to try on here first. You'll get to keep all the money too instead of lining eBay's pockets.

I started the other Shimano thread and it just seems like there is a love affair with older Shimano gear. Yeah post on here and maybe a few other forums if you frequent those.
