Look here for ML baitcasting rods

Medium Light (ML) or 2 power rod, Medium (M) is 3 power.

Now all we need is a standard to define the difference.

Major Craft Splash-It Iovino is a Medium rod power with a fast tip and IMO a very universal finesse casting. Don told me it has the right action tip for doodling/shaking  3/16 oz worms and working top water and jerk baits. I agree the rod is very universal and mine was paired with Daiwa original TD Fuego. I sold the red Fuego and kept the rod. The Splash-It is a sweet light weight rod for the price point and now is paired with my Daiwa 153 HTSA w/11 lb Armillo line. I wouldn’t call the a ML.

I like to use both. For weightless or weighted TR’s I prefer my baitcasters, but for wacky rigs I prefer my spinning rigs. I can’t skip worth a darn with my baitcasters but I can get a Senko far under the tree limbs easily with my spinners.

It’s all good!

A 25% Dobyns sale caused me to get a Champion Extreme HP 742C.  I have this rod in the spinning model and it is a fantastic finesse rod.  Going to use it primarily for dropshotting, light swimbaits, Neko, shakey head, and others.
