I want a more secure paddle clip to mount on my Pelican Catch 100 kayak. The 2 I'm thinking about are a taco clip or the YakAttck roto clip. I think I would mount it more or less in the same location where my paddle currently uses the factory bunji line although could see it being a little more forward too. Hoping someone with a Pelican Catch kayak has added one and can share what they did.

In my experience the taco grip will be a bit more secure, especially if you have only one contact point.  I've used both.  The taco grip got sold with a past kayak.  I currently use two Rotogrips to hold my paddle but it's also a completely different setup this time around. 

 

I have a taco clip on mine and I don't even have to put the latch down over it because it snaps in so firmly. It's very handy since mine is a pedal yak and I rarely need my paddle but when I do, it's usually when I need it quickly and fumbling trying to undo the strap is a pain.

Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but I'd love to hear a review of the catch 100.  Been considering one since they came out.
