GoBee Spotlight Opinions

Featured Replies

Guys I have no new fishing wants going into this season. I’m ready to pick up where I left off in the fall. Could use a few couple and triple spares on a few crankbaits but half of what I want is not in stock. Anyway.

I’m tired of using a hand held spotlight for when I get caught up into dark or get out extremely early in the morning. I’ve been tired of that hand held for the last ten years or more.

Been somewhat eying up that remote GoBee for the last couple of seasons. A bit steep in price. I’m pretty sure I can can somehow get a discount or price reduction if I work it right. Should work out well for how I’d be using it.

Any users of one that like it, dislike it, any opinions appreciated.

I can most likely get creative and make something. Or make an aluminum bracket mount and fix up another style of light to it. Maybe mount it right off my windshield.

Any comments are appreciated if you are using one or something similar.

I’m not interested in what state laws say or don’t say about them. I just want some hands free light. Safety first. Waterway Laws second.

I don’t know of any mounts but I found this for you hope it helps. It screws into some thing.48C0F242-78D0-49CC-AC5E-1F7CE8AFFA19.thumb.png.5ea1670016cf7f188f9a56ab55f4ad52.png

Something like that would work and easy enough to fabricate a swivel bracket for. LED is lower power consumption. But I’d need a 12 volt DC. That’s AC.

Yes Sir! Thank You! That would work out perfect. The round flat plate mounting and bracket you could articulate that in any direction.

I’m going to see if I can find that local this weekend. If not no big deal to order it. Thanks.

LED is the way to go. Halogen will travel further but I’m not a gunboat making it’s way up the Mekong Delta.

Safety first means the safety of everyone on the water, not just you. I believe you'd still need some kind of remote or remote switch to turn power on/off when a vessel approaches, since you are not a commercial vessel. If you've ever been out at night, and it sounds like you have some experience, then you know that light kills night vision which is one of the reasons for the laws.

I went from a 12v halogen spotlight to a high end rechargeable 1000 lumen tactical light and I have no complaints. It's light and less bulky and I'd bet I could see 100 yards in front of me.

Mr. Moderator,

My intentions are not to use it as a running light. High beam. More for going into or out of cove or tributary in low or no light. My safety is a priority. I’m not about jeopardizing or compromise anyone else safety on the water.
