I am going small mouth fishing in June and I need to know what soft plastic to throw. I have a spinning rod and a bait caster so I can throw basically everything.

I would of honestly did the same thing I have no clue of what to use in that situation.

Definitely pay extra money to buy a better one.

My pond was already very over fished, and ever since this Covid thing happed I am struggling to catch a few this is getting on my nerves.

A red craw color or white.

I am looking for a finesse spinning rod, under $100, it’s just for small Ned baits and worms.

Sounds normal for using braid, keep the fish off the ground it is not good for them but, nice fish.

Braid is good for some situations not all.

I would rather just have multiple rod to use, it is just easier to have a plan on what you are going to do that day out at the lake. I normal have 2-3 rods with different things tied on so I could just reel up and pick up a different rod and throw that out.

I do use them I think the first half of my response was deleted because the first half was about gulp minnows I was comparing them, I normally use them on a drop shot rig normally works for me in the 2.5 in I think

I have had 4 rods broken and only 1 of them has been my fault my friends have fell and broke them, jammed the tip into the ground, and have bent the tip too far, so I lifted a too heavy fish and my tip broke that one was my fault. This is why I just fish with my neighbor, he is the only one that hasn’t broke 1 of my rods. How have your friends broke your rods, and how many?

When you just get to the lake, and sees a ton of fish feeding on minnows and just when you are getting ready to cast and your mom calls you and says “GET HOME NOW YOU DIDN’T DO THE DISHES!!!!! Then you come back an hour later and can’t find the fish.

I used the cabelas speed shad in 2.5” and I caught 25 nice sized bass with them in 3 hours, I would stand in the water and fish would eat it right in front of my legs I went thru the whole pack that day.

Soft plastics... yum dinger, TRD tubes, and crackn’ craw Hard baits... Sexy shad poper, blue bill square bill, and glacier ice jerk bait.

I will be fishing a running inlet so it’s like a mini river.
