Well jerkbaits are clearly winning out here, but I have to say crankbaits deserve a mention here. At certain times of the year poppers can beat out both.

    Jerkbaits before spawn and after fall turnover. The period between it is wtd and whopper ploppers. I fish small and medium sized rivers.
