I don't know if its just my local one or what but they had spinner baits on clearance and then 50% off that so i bought about dozen or so war eagles for less than $3 tonight.  I am in Wichita Kansas and was the west store.  They had a good variety and alot of the house brand H20, Strike King ones as well.

My favourite store. I buy tackle at the Liberty Mo store often.

I will say they seem to stock a lot of baits and tackle, and a wide assortment of rods and reels.

I wish I had an Academy near me.  I make it a point to write an email to them every year asking for a store here in Indy but no luck.  

Not 100% certain the timing is consistent nation wide, but they must have just started the 50% off fishing clearance.  As of yesterday their stuff was not reduced that much.

The one nearest to me (Sherwood, Arkansas) looks like they're going out of business but without the sale.

 

Lots of bare spots where lures or other items should be. I had a guy tell me that due to covid they were having problems getting alot of products. 

 

 

Sometimes I wish we had an Academy around here, then I think about how much trouble I would be in with some of those sales and think it is most likely a good thing there isn't!

We have two in town locally and West and East the west one always has good sales going East is hit or miss. They dont even carry the same things all the time its weird.  West store had the big clearance I headed out east and had like 5 things its seemed fishing related.  Then the West store started carrying the new 6th sense flukes so I snagged a pack since I like flukes East store doesn't even stock them.

The best part is when you price check an item and find out its on clearance without ever being advertised

Yes sir academy is one of my favorites even though box store but great.
