Deep V boats

Featured Replies

Just bought a new boat its a dual console deep v and Im switching over my electronics. I was wondering how everyone was doing there setups.. I have Helix 9 up front and at console but  it looks like it would barely fit on the dash but will take up most of it, causing a view blockage. Or the only place I can see putting it is on the side of driver but thats back kinba far.. Was just wondering what everyone else was doing about it.. Thanks for any help and some pics of your setups would be awesome!!

My console Helix is mounted on a Ram mount. While fishing i can turn it to face me at the bow. ( i do have a cheap bow Garmin .)

Look at Bass Boat Technologies website and mounts.

If your console is anything like my Lund, there is a glassed in piece of marine plywood underneath the console where the graph is mounted. RAM has a few different styles of mounts that might work for you with a larger graph. This one might work a little better than the standard RAM for your application either on the console or off to the side

I have 2 Ram mounts for my bass boat and my problem with them is that in rough water it is very tough to keep them in position.  They make a wrench that fits the handle that allows you to get them a little tighter but over the course of a day in rough water they can come loose.  I actually have a rubber block that zip ties around the base of my console unit to protect the fiberglass if it bounces down and hits the boat.  I’ve been tempted to go to a solid mount like a Kong for a while.
