Pretty sweet man. What specific baits did you have in mind for that bad boy.

Isnt his rod a little bit overkill for that rod? Dont get me wrong I have some 500+ swimbait rods as well, but shouldnt a Conquest be used for techniques where sensitivity is crucial?

Just curious.

You mean rod overkill for technique?

No I don’t think because I have 4 conquest for everything till 3oz now, I wish they had 906/907/908 as well for my big swim baits.
the best thing I love in conquest is weight, they feel nothing in your hand, and for some injured person is really necessary.

I've always been curious about these.  What are these rods like?  As a casual observer they look rather pedestrian and don't have that x factor gotta have it appeal of other sticks in the same price point to me at least.  Are the blanks really special in how they fish?  Why would anyone pick this over a top shelf megabass, gan craft  evergreen offering?

You know, honestly I never try magabass, I was shimano guy always, but for me is rod being light weight and casting performance is matter and I found that both in conquest, oh and there is something else, the rod is scratch proof somehow, I have rod for two years and it is my go to rod, I mean for last two years I put it’ in my truck 3 to 5 times a week and put it on ground or anything else as bank fisherman you’ll do to your rod, and it doesn’t have any scratch on it.

That’s awesome. I just bought my first NRX last week and am blown away with how good of a rod it is. I have 6 different imx pros and the NRX is on a different level of weight/sensitivity. I haven’t used a conquest but a friend of mine has one and likes it just as much as his NRX’s. Idk if I would buy a conquest over the new st croix legend extreme but they are for sure an incredible rod.

The conquest rods are 10gr lighter than NRX, If there was no conquest, for sure I would have all my rods NRX, Pretty close to. Conquest.

Yeah, sorry. My sentence didn't make sense. lol.

I was wondering why you chose a rod that is known for its sensitivity for a technique where sensitivity is not really critical. Your reply, pointing out weight, makes sense.
Thanks for the reply!
