Alabama bass fishing in mid April

Featured Replies

What lures do y'all use in mid April? And what stage of the spawn is it?

Mostly spawn and post spawn. Red Eye Shad is KILLER!

Jerkbaits, topwater, shallow crank baits, spinnerbaits, swimbaits and the A-rig.

I am going to Guntersville around the 15th. So, we'll see.

We did not do well last weekend at Pickwick during the tournament, but turned

that around a little bit yesterday on the otherside of the lake (Pickwick Dam area).

TVA is running a lot of water, 190,000 CFS.

I'm headed down on the 16th to GVILLE.

Hopefully  the rain and the weather hold steady for a while.
