The 1st generation Abu Revo-S was the only reel that I only had to clean.  Never had to replace anything on it for 12 seasons.  My Shimano had to have a couple of washers replaced over the years, but no major repairs.  My Daiwa reels are still fairly new so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
