LMB as live bait

I've caught lots of fish on them, but no big ones, biggest is around 30lbs. Best case is to get them at a slot limit lake so you can keep the "unders". Those bass in the 8-12 inch range are the best bait sized ones for whole, live bait.

From the KSoutdoors website;

LEGAL BAIT

Legal fish bait includes artificial lures, bait fish (as defined on Page 12), prepared bait, vegetable materials, artificial bait, worms, crayfish, leeches, amphibians and mussels. Species listed as prohibited, threatened, endangered, or in need of conservation may NOT be used as bait. Any other LEGALLY
TAKEN wildlife may be used, including sport fish of legal length taken by hook and line

Thanks for the info!

You ever used them for those man eating catfish that are supposed to be at the dam at wyco?  ?

I rather use bluegill for live bait. I don't got it in me to use bass for bait. Even though I catch many bait sized bass 20190913_080054_compress13.thumb.jpg.3ccb9273783b8358b6754652e60901b1.jpg

I can't think of anything I've caught that I haven't used for bait at one time or another.
